Why We Were Created
The Hispanic Business Network of Galveston County was created in July of 2024 by a group of local business owners, professionals, and community leaders who recognized the same need: a place where Hispanic-owned and Hispanic-serving businesses could come together, support one another, and grow.
For years, many Hispanic entrepreneurs in Galveston County have relied solely on word-of-mouth, family networks, or personal connections to grow their businesses. While this tradition is powerful, it also means many small businesses lack access to the resources, relationships, or visibility needed to thrive.
The Hispanic Business Network of Galveston County was founded to create a hub of community, collaboration, and celebration, a place where local businesses can meet, learn, grow, and lift one another.
The Economic Impact
The Hispanic community is one of the strongest economic drivers in Galveston County. With nearly one in every four residents identifying as Hispanic or Latino, our community contributes significantly to the county’s workforce, small business sector, consumer base, and long-term economic growth.
